T2Auth : Extension Chrome pour les installations informatiques de l'Institut de technologie de Tokyo
T2Auth is a Chrome extension designed to enhance the user experience and streamline the use of IT facilities at Tokyo Institute of Technology. Developed by Bill Stark, this free extension offers convenient features such as auto-login and course calendar generation.
With T2Auth, users can enjoy the benefits of auto-login, which automatically logs them in when the portal page is opened. This feature saves time and eliminates the hassle of manually entering login credentials. Additionally, T2Auth supports course calendar generation. After opening an OCW course detail page or the Course Registration page of the Educational Web System, users can click the "Generate Calendar" button to set the interval of all quarters and choose which days to omit. The generated calendar file, in iCalendar format with the extension .ics, can be easily imported into popular calendar management software like Google Calendar.
Security is a top priority for T2Auth. All private information stored by the extension is encrypted using AES-256 and a key and initial vector generated by the user's email address and identification code. No HTTP requests are made directly by the extension, ensuring that no information is sent manually to any servers. Users can also input and output information in plain text within the options page, with the responsibility of storing the information in a safe and trusted location.
Please note that T2Auth is not responsible for any privacy leaks that may occur while using the extension. Developers looking to build and debug in their own environment can follow the provided instructions.
